From 22nd– 27th September, I’ll be joining education leaders from around the world to share innovative ideas on educational assessment at the International Association for Educational Assessment Conference (IAEA). RM Results is Silver Sponsor of the Conference, which is hosted by The State Examination Center (SEC) of Azerbaijan and will take place at the Fairmont Hotel in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The event promises to be well-attended; with representatives from national examination centres, awarding bodies and researchers in the area of assessment from over 50 countries. The theme for this year’s conference is Assessment and Decision Making: Individual and Institutional Solutions. The conference will focus on topics such as the reliability and validity of assessments in decision-making, e-assessment and technology advanced platforms, and assessment data and decision making responsibility.
I will deliver a presentation about the use of examiner behaviour data. In my presentation, I will share insights on patterns of marking and demonstrate how best to interpret examiner behaviour during a marking session. I will also show how this data can be used to inform decision making.
I will be joined at the conference by RM Results colleagues Annie Mehmet – Account Director, Andrew Inganni – Pre-Sales Technical Solutions Architect and Eliza Dirnu – Marketing Manager. If you’ll be at the event, come and say hi and pick up a copy of our research report Will artificial intelligence change the educational landscape?. You will find us at the RM Results exhibition stand.
I am also looking forward to hearing from some great keynote speakers, including Dr Hanan Khalifa, Dr Amra Sabic-El-Rayess of Columbia University, Prof. Peter Tymms, Durham University and Prof. Nathan R Kuncel, University of Minnesota.
