As part of our sponsorship of Brighton Digital Festival, EDF Energy are challenging Brighton’s digital community to create a mega 42,000Wh of power over the month of September by taking part in FitFest Brighton. This is the same power it takes to light up Brighton Palace Pier for 1 minute. If we meet this target, EDF Energy will donate £1,000 to the winning team’s chosen charity.
Pragmatic, ribot, and EDF Energy have teamed up to create FitFest Brighton; a month-long event that will see Brighton’s digital community compete against each other for the title of most active!
How does it work?
Using the mobile app Strava, we’re inviting the whole of Brighton to track how far they’ve run, cycled, or walked, and compete to see who’s the most active. You can participate as a team, or fly solo – there’ll be plenty of prizes for both categories, presented at a special awards party at the end of the month.
Behind the scenes, we’ll be collecting and analysing the data, presenting it on live leaderboards so you can track how well you’re doing (along with what everyone else is up to!).
This isn’t just a competition between peers though! As BDF celebrates the wonderful collaborative nature of our industry, everyone’s effort will be collated and put towards powering up something special… something that will benefit Brighton’s digital industry. Join FitFest Brighton now!
